The Dorchester County Family YMCA is a not-for-profit charitable community organization. We currently have over 3100 members.

Our goal is to build strong kids, strong families and a strong community in Dorchester County. 

We achieve our goal by providing quality programs that develop a healthy spirit, mind and body.  All of our programs promote the core values of caring, honesty, responsibility and respect.  In 2006, more than 4000 individuals particpated in our programs.

We are part a worldwide association of YMCA’s.  Although YMCA stands for Young Men's Christian Association, the YMCA is not just for the young, not just for men and not just for Christians. The history of the YMCA shows that Ys are for all people of all faiths, races, ages, abilities and incomes.
